How it works
Start low, step up slowly
GLP-1 medications act like a hormone your gut releases after a meal. Many people feel full sooner and think about food less. The dose starts low and steps up so your body can adjust.
Your consultation
Your nurse practitioner reviews your health history and goals, and screens you against the medication label. It's free.
Your starting dose
You start on the lowest dose. Nausea is common early in each step, and it usually eases as your body adjusts.
Stepping up
Your dose goes up no faster than every four weeks, with a check-in at each step, until you reach the dose that works for you.
Staying on track
In the clinical trials, most of the change happened in the first year. Your provider keeps adjusting the plan with you.

Medical weight loss: your questions, answered
Who manages my care?
Our nurse practitioners. They review your health history, screen you against the medication label and write a prescription only if you qualify, with scheduled follow-up visits after that.
Semaglutide or tirzepatide: what's the difference?
Both are weekly injections. Semaglutide acts on one gut hormone (GLP-1), and tirzepatide acts on two (GLP-1 and GIP). Your provider recommends one based on your health history and goals.
What are the common side effects?
Nausea is the most common, especially in the first days of each new dose. It usually eases as your body adjusts. The medical weight loss page covers the full list and when to call us.
How is the cost worked out?
Medication is priced at your consult, once your provider knows which medication and dose suit you, so you know your monthly cost before you start.
