How much does Morpheus8 cost? Face, neck, body, and why the series exists

A Morpheus8 quote has four parts: the area, the number of sessions, the tip and passes, and any add-on. Most people are quoted 3 sessions, 4 to 8 weeks apart, because that’s the series the published trials used and what the collagen response needs. Face alone is the base, and adding the neck or body moves it up. Here’s how each part affects the price.

Part one: the area

InMode Morpheus8 is fractional radiofrequency microneedling. Insulated needles enter to a set depth, from 0.5 to 4 mm on the face, and release RF from their tips so heat reaches the dermis while the surface is mostly spared, per Hendricks and Farhang in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. It’s FDA-cleared for “coagulation/contraction of soft tissue,” per the 2024 510(k) summary. It’s not for fat reduction, and it’s cleared, never “FDA-approved.”

The area sets the base. A full face is roughly 500 pulses in published protocols, up to 1,000 for severe laxity. Adding the neck adds pulses, numbing time, and a second area of aftercare. Morpheus8 Body uses the 40-pin tip, cleared to 7 mm, and is quoted by the size of the area: an abdomen is more than a pair of knees, and two body areas are two quotes.

When you compare quotes, ask whether the price covers the face alone or the face and neck. Prices listed online are usually face only.

Part two: the sessions

The acne-scar randomized trial that compared Morpheus8 to fractional CO2 used three sessions 8 weeks apart, per a prospective split-face trial. The long-term acne cohort used a 3-session series. Patient reports on RealSelf describe “at least three monthly treatments.” Collagen remodeling continues for about 3 months after each session, and trials judge the result 3 months after the last one.

The series reflects the published protocol. If your laxity is mild, you may need fewer sessions, and we’ll tell you at your consult.

Part three: the tip and the passes

The face uses the 24-pin tip for most work, the smaller Prime tip around the eyes, upper lip, and forehead, and a blunt resurfacing tip at 0.5 mm for texture. Depth and energy are set per area: shallow and low on the forehead and around the eyes, deeper along the jawline. Some plans run more than one pass or more than one depth in a session, and that’s where “extra passes” appears on a quote.

The body tip is different, with forty pins, a 7 mm reach, and a Burst mode that fires at three depths in one cycle to cover a large area faster. Body numbing may involve injected lidocaine at deep settings, which would be another line on the quote.

We’re careful to set conservative depth and energy where the fat is thin, especially the lower face and neck, because fat loss is a reported complication of RF microneedling. The FDA’s October 2025 safety communication lists “burns, scarring, fat loss, disfigurement, and nerve damage” among reports for these devices, per the FDA. Those are voluntary reports, not rates, but they’re a good reason to choose a Morpheus8 provider on experience and care rather than on the lowest price in the city.

Part four: the add-ons

PRP in the same visit is the usual one. We draw your blood while you numb, spin it, and apply it to the channels after the RF pass. It adds the draw and the kit to the session. Whether it’s worth it depends on the goal: PRP has controlled-trial evidence for acne scars with needling, and less for laxity.

A bundled maintenance session is the other add-on you might see. There are no long-term randomized data on how long Morpheus8 holds. Results aren’t permanent, skin keeps aging, and a yearly single session is the common recommendation. Some series quotes include that session, so it’s worth asking whether yours does.

Why the series is cheaper per session

You’re committing to the full protocol, and a series is easier to schedule and staff than three separate bookings. That’s why the per-session price inside a series is lower than a single session.

You don’t need to buy the series at your first visit. You can try one session, see how you heal (red and swollen for 2 to 5 days, fine scabs sloughing by day 7), and then decide. The deposit you paid to book comes off either way.

Timing the series

Three sessions 4 to 8 weeks apart is 8 to 16 weeks of treatment, then 3 months for the last session to mature. For an event in June, we’d suggest starting in January, and for results by the end of the year, starting by August. Fall is also a good time to begin, since lower sun exposure from November on makes aftercare easier.

Typical downtime: the most noticeable redness and swelling lasts 2 to 3 days, most people can wear tinted sunscreen by day 4 or 5, and scabs are gone by day 7.

When one session is enough

One session can make sense for mild texture, a single problem area, or if you’d like to test the downtime before committing. It gives some tissue contraction within weeks, though it won’t deliver the three-month laxity result the trials describe. If cost is the reason you’re considering one session, it’s worth comparing it against a microneedling with PRP series, which costs less per session and suits texture, pores, and scars. The RF microneedling vs microneedling post goes into that comparison in more detail.

Book a Morpheus8 consult

Every treatment starts with a consultation, and you’ll leave with a written quote by area and session count. Take the Brown Line to Diversey, then head south on Lincoln to the block above Wrightwood. Directions for getting to Lincoln Avenue are on the location page.

Your questions, answered

Is one Morpheus8 session worth doing?

For mild texture or to test the downtime, yes. Some tightening from tissue contraction shows within weeks of a single session. For laxity, jowls, or acne scars, the published results come from 3 sessions, and one session won’t match them.

Why is the series cheaper per session?

The per-session price inside a 3-session series is lower than a single session because the series is the protocol the trials used, and committing to it lets us plan your schedule. Collagen remodels for about 3 months after each session, and we judge the result 3 months after the third. The discount reflects that.

Does the deposit count toward the series?

Yes. Booking takes a small non-refundable deposit that comes off your treatment, whether you buy a single session or a series. If you start with one session and later want the series, ask how that first session counts toward the package.

What happens if I stop after two sessions?

You keep whatever contraction and collagen change the two sessions produced, judged 3 months after the second. It’ll be less than a full series, and for moderate laxity it may not be enough. Ask about the policy on unused sessions before you buy a series. If downtime is the reason you’re stopping, let us know, since the settings can often be adjusted.
